When a husband and wife accept the responsibility of parenthood, they become partners with God in creation. "Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children.  They bear witness to this responsibility first by creating a home where tenderness, forgiveness, respect, fidelity, and disinterested service are the rule. The home is well suited for education in the virtues [no. 2223 Catechism of the Catholic Church]."  The central mission of our Parish Faith Formation Program [CCD], is to assist parents in fulfilling their role as the primary educators of their children by providing for the moral, spiritual and intellectual formation of the children.
